Workshop on Proposed ERC: Transformational Science and Manufacturing Innovation on Heterogeneous Materials Joining

Thursday October 18th 12pm – Friday October 19th 2018, 3pm
Immediately following the 2018 MS&T Conference

The vision of the Engineering Research Center (ERC) – TRANSMI-HMJ is to transform advanced heterogeneous materials joining through a comprehensive approach using fundamental science, process innovation, innovative design, and predictive modeling, coupled with the development of a vibrant and diverse workforce prepared to create and deploy new technologies that will enable U.S. manufacturing leadership.

In order to further develop the Center concept, OSU, UM, NC A&T, and Ma2JIC will host a National Science Foundation sponsored workshop “Transformational Science and Manufacturing Innovation on Heterogeneous Materials Joining.” This meeting will be attended by leaders in academia, industry, vocational and technical education (K-14), economic development, manufacturing, and industry societies.

The roomblock has closed, but rooms are still available at The Blackwell Inn. Other local hotels on Olentangy Road are convenient and many offer a shuttle.  For administrative questions please contact Ma2JIC Center Manager, Brooke Felts.
